About this puja
The auspicious tithi of Ashadh Sudha Purnima is celebrated as Gurupornima. Gurupornima is also addressed as Vyas Purnima. In resemblance and offerings to Vyas Mumi who wrote Mahabharata and many other Scripts this auspicious day is celebrated. On this day one can express the gratitude towards this or her Guru.
Gurupornima is also known as Sadguru Purnima. Guru is one who gives knowledge and Purnima means light, so considering Guru as a source of knowledge, light, and wisdom we should pray him to so his light of knowledge reaches to us and make our life full of wisdom.
