Gauri Puja is conducted to offer worship to Devi Parwati. Devi Parvati is the mother of Lord Ganesha and is also known as Devi Gauri. She along with Lord Ganesha is worshiped during the Ganesh festival. This puja is done on the fourth or fifth day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The festival of Mahalaxmi is worshiped as a charity. Gauri / Laxmi Puja brings good fortune, prosperity, and prosperity to the house.
